Maid to Order Tyria + The Master is Out released

Hey everyone, we just released a new one-shot and a couple of 4komas today. The special one-shot manga is called Maid to Order Tyria and it’s about this maid in disguise, but in reality she is sort of a counter-terrorism operative. It’s a pretty fun read. The Master is Out is a rather short 4koma series, only 2 chapters have been released so far and that was a while ago. But it’s fairly amusing and makes for nice omake material. Both of these were made by an artist that goes simply by the alias SHU, who apparently has worked with Syun Matsuena, the creator of the very popular manga series, History’s Strongest Disciple Kenichi. So although these two mangas are not really Kenichi-related, they are Kenichi-supported in that Matsuena actually provides a direct link to read Maid to Order Tyria on his official website to help show support for SHU. So now you can enjoy these mangas for the first time in English exclusively by Disciple-Scans. You can download both of them below, just click on the pictures.

Important Announcement – End of weekly Kenichi chapters here

To Kenichi fans it’s with a heavy heart to announce this, but weekly chapters of History’s Strongest Disiciple Kenichi will no longer be available here for download. Disciple-Scans will instead be putting it’s full attention in scanlating the Redux Editions of Kenichi. It’s been quite a learning experience scanlating Kenichi since chapter 408, and while its been fun, it’s also time consuming and I’d rather spend that time, scanlating the many tankobon volumes of Kenichi instead of the weekly chapters as I lack a staff that would be able to take over that part for me while I work on the Reduxes. Make no mistake this is not the end of Disciple-Scans at all. It’s merely transitioning into something that I hope will become very special to fans. Here is the low down of what’s to come:

As you can see the above is more than enough to keep me busy for months alone. So spending the time on weekly chapters when other groups out there are fully capable of scanlating Kenichi seems to be a misuse of my time.

SERIES FINALE – Tekuni 4koma 91-100(end) released

Well here it is the final set of the Tekuni 4koma series finally released, and so the Tekuni 4koma series has now been fully scanlated into English for the first time, provided exclusively here at Disciple-Scans. I started this project way back in September 2010 basically asking anybody who would answer the call to help translate this 4koma series for me. I knew little of scanlating as I was rather new to it. I posted at every major Scanlation Group forum I knew of with little results, until I used MangaHelper, which really is true to its name. Got translation assistance from up to 3 translators. So I thank all the translators that helped me out especially aegon-rokudo who agreed to take part in the project and was sending me new translations at a fast pace, because of that, it kept me enthused enough to complete the project.

Think of these Set releases as a form of weekly chapter releases, what will follow is a re-release of all 100 4komas in Tankobon format. It’s basically going to be a Redux Edition, which will include its own front cover, table of contents, improved translations and even omake. I have included samples below. It will be released later on. So enjoy what has been released. It’s been a long time coming to finish this series and I’m glad I did.
